Description
The PinePhone runs mainline-based Linux and supports a wide array of operating systems. It has been the go-to development platform for mobile Linux since 2020 and it shows – all of the device’s core functionality is now well supported by nearly all mobile Linux operating systems. The pogo pins on the device are compatible with the keyboard and add-on cases, and the hardware privacy switches allow you to physically disconnect the device’s: cameras, microphone, Bluetooth and WiFi as well as the LTE modem.
The optional pre-installed operational systems are: Manjaro, postmarketOS and Mobian.
The PinePhone can run Android apps via a compatibility layer, but in all likelihood your banking or travel apps will not function fully or at all.
