Description
The PineNote is a versatile e-paper device running a Linux-based operating system, optimized for its 1404 x 1872 high-refresh grayscale display. The screen combines Wacom EMR and capacitive touch layers, protected by a scratch-resistant surface with an anti-glare coating for a comfortable and durable user experience. Additionally, the device includes a front light with 36 levels of adjustable white and amber illumination, easily managed through its user interface.
Touted as one of the most powerful e-paper readers available, the PineNote is powered by the efficient RK3566 SoC, featuring four Cortex-A55 cores. It boasts 4GB of RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage, making it a capable and portable solution for tasks such as note-taking, writing, reading documents and books, browsing the internet, and even terminal-based activities—all simultaneously.
The PineNote Community Edition runs an OS developed and maintained by the PINE64 community. This edition is ideal for early adopters with strong Linux expertise but should be regarded as a BETA product. While it offers immense potential, users should note that some software issues are still being addressed by the development team.
